Jane Austen was an English author in the early part of the 19th century during the Georgian era. Her style of writing was both a combination of neoclassicism and romanticism. Her sharp and sarcastic wit, including humor and irony, was very much a part of her writing style.
Jane Austen is well-known for her six major completed novels, which includes "Sense and Sensibility" (1811), "Pride and Prejudice" (1813), "Mansfield Park" (1814), "Emma" (1816), "Persuasion" (1817), and "Northanger Abbey" (1817).
Worldwide, Jane Austen's works have been adapted into feature films and television episodes countless times - spawning new prequels, sequels, and spin-offs. Her novels are still among the top selling literature around the world, with new editions and translations produced frequently.
