Perfumes are important accessories worn on clothes to give an enticing scent. Many people wear perfumes on their clothes at different times and for various occasions. Whether going to work, seeing a friend, or taking a walk at the park, they always wear perfumes on their clothing. The use of perfumes and fragrant oils dates back to ancient times in Egypt. Ointments with captivating aroma and fragrance were used in that era. The use of perfumes and essential oils in the ancient city of Egypt covered different ceremonies and occasions. People wore them for religious activities, for daily routines, and even, during burials, as a sign of royalty. The use of perfumes also showed the social status and affluence of people. It created an aura of class, luxury, and elegance. Subsequently, the Persians discovered perfumes and utilized it for political reasons. Then, the Romans and Greeks saw it as an art for exploration.
We can rightly affirm that since early civilization, the use of perfumes, scented oils, and other fragrances have been appreciated by most persons. Presently, all over the world, diverse types of fragrances and essential oils are found. Each having a distinct aroma and perfume. Different products are now manufactured with added elements that deliver a pleasant aroma and fragrance. Some examples of these products include scented candles, papers, sanitizers, and many others. The reasons why people wear perfumes are numerous, sometimes, each person has a distinct reason for wearing perfume. However, we can say a general reason is the confidence it gives and it makes us feel elated. Other purposes why people wear perfumes may include that it improves our personality and image, it makes one feel more attractive, and it allows people to feel comfortable around you.
